Jian-Bing Fan, Founder and CEO, AnchorDx – a company that is focusing on the development of NGS-based clinical diagnosis products – has over 30 years of experience in human genome research and microarray/next-gen sequencing technology development. As a Senior Director of Scientific Research, Dr. Fan played important roles in developing the BeadArray technology and a series of genomics products at Illumina for high throughput genotyping, gene expression and methylation analysis. Prior to joining Illumina, Dr. Fan was the Manager of Polymorphism Research at Affymetrix, where he spearheaded the development of high-density oligonucleotide array technology and its application in large-scale SNP identification and genotyping. Dr. Fan received his PhD in Genetics from Columbia University. He has authored 207 original articles and book chapters, published one book, been granted 71 US/world patents, and served/serving on the editorial board of scientific journals Genome Research and Translational Cancer Research, and is currently an executive editor of Genomics, and Editor-in-Chief, Genomics Data, published by Elsevier.
